Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the consumer deposit product suite, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, member value, and financial performance goals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy covering deposit product acquisition, retention, engagement, and multi-product relationship growth.
- Build and maintain a long-term deposit product roadmap that drives member acquisition, reduces operational friction, and elevates the end-to-end member experience.
- Conduct continuous competitive intelligence and marketplace analysis to establish optimal pricing strategies, product features, and portfolio positioning.
- Collaborate with marketing, plastic card operations, and digital channels to run compliant promotional campaigns and ensure seamless debit and payment execution.
- Maintain complete oversight of portfolio analytics, providing monthly and annual financial reporting, performance tracking, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Manage, mentor, and lead a high-performing product team, overseeing talent acquisition, performance reviews, career development, and operational goal setting.
- Ensure strict adherence to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules, Privacy Act directives, and state/federal financial regulations across all product touchpoints.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in product management, marketing, or financial services portfolio management.
- Minimum 3 years of direct people management experience leading and developing product or marketing teams.
- Specialized experience in deposit product management within a bank or credit union is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required (Graduate degree preferred); or 10 years of equivalent combined experience in lieu of degree.
- Deep knowledge of deposit compliance, Bank Secrecy Act requirements, and financial regulatory environments.
Technical Skills Required
- Deep functional understanding of consumer deposit products (savings, checking, CDs, money market accounts).
- Advanced capability in financial modeling, competitive rate benchmarking, portfolio reporting, and pricing strategy.
- Backlog management and product development lifecycle orchestration.
- Experience integrating deposit operations with payment processing, plastic card systems, and digital banking platforms.
