Key Responsibilities
- Strategically plan, direct, and coordinate the sales activities of sales representatives across the South Central region.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop top-tier medical device sales talent.
- Partner with the Director of Sales to establish regional growth plans, maximize commercial opportunities, and consistently exceed quota targets.
- Mentor and support field sales representatives in closing high-value accounts and navigating complex hospital sales environments.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with key hospital executives, orthopedic surgeons, and healthcare network stakeholders.
- Oversee regional sales forecasting, pipeline management, and account coverage strategies.
- Maintain deep technical knowledge of Stryker’s Orthopaedic Instruments portfolio to support field execution and customer inquiries.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional sales or sales management experience, preferably within medical devices, surgical instruments, or healthcare markets.
- Proven track record of building, leading, and scaling high-performing field sales teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic sales plans and drive revenue expansion in a competitive landscape.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, interpersonal, and charismatic networking skills.
- Must meet customer facility access and credentialing requirements, including mandatory health vaccinations where applicable.
Technical Skills Required
- Deep functional expertise in orthopaedic instruments, surgical equipment, and operating room workflows.
- Strategic sales planning, target setting, revenue forecasting, and territory optimization.
- CRM utilization, pipeline management, and key account metric reporting.
- Consultative selling techniques for senior healthcare leadership and surgical specialists.
