Key Responsibilities


  • Define, operationalize, and maintain the bank's enterprise-wide Data Quality strategy, policies, and control frameworks aligned with DAMA-DMBOK and regulatory standards (e.g., BCBS 239).
  • Identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) across Retail, Corporate, Treasury, Risk, Finance, and Compliance domains while setting precise quality rules, thresholds, and KPIs.
  • Establish measurement frameworks tracking six core data dimensions: accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, timeliness, and uniqueness.
  • Design and deploy executive Data Quality dashboards, scorecards, and reporting suites to track institutional data health trends over time.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, impact assessments, and cross-functional remediation protocols for systemic data defects and operational anomalies.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and IT teams to embed automated data quality validation rules, pipelines, and AI/ML anomaly detection tools into core banking architectures.
  • Guide data stewards and platform owners on data lineage, metadata cataloging, data ownership, and governance compliance across Data Lakes and Warehouses.



Experience & Qualifications


  • Minimum 14+ years of overall IT and Data Management experience, with at least 10 years dedicated to Data Quality and Data Governance within Banking or Financial Services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Finance (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Expert understanding of global banking governance frameworks, including DAMA-DMBOK, BCBS 239, and international data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Demonstrated track record of leading 2 to 3 large-scale enterprise Data Quality and Governance implementations through production go-live.
  • Proven leadership capacity to interface with C-suite executives, risk heads, compliance directors, and engineering leads.



Technical Skills Required


  • Enterprise DQ Platforms: Deep hands-on experience with Informatica Data Engineering Quality (DEQ), Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), and Informatica AXON (or matching enterprise platforms).
  • Database & Querying: Advanced mastery of SQL for complex querying, data profiling, validation, optimization, and database debugging.
  • Scripting & Analytics: Working proficiency in Python for data profiling, workflow automation, and anomaly detection modeling.
  • Visualization & Reporting: Expertise building automated DQ scorecards using Power BI or Qlik.
