Key Responsibilities


Provide comprehensive technical leadership for geoscience, geotechnical engineering, and localized geohazard assessment scopes across major North American capital projects.


Develop strategic site investigation frameworks, advanced characterization programs, and thorough technical execution plans for energy and resource infrastructure.


Coordinate cross-functional deliverables across environmental, engineering, project management, and on-site construction divisions to manage project feasibility.


Oversee active field programs, technical calculations, and client-facing deliverables to ensure absolute quality, consistency, and structural defensibility.


Identify, mitigate, and manage complex geological delivery risks while building deep customer trust through practical, commercially focused solutions.


Support high-value proposals, regional planning studies, and business development initiatives while mentoring technical professionals to maintain a culture of excellence.



Experience & Qualifications


Minimum of 8 to 12 years of professional, advanced engineering experience managing complex geoscience or geotechnical portfolios for major industrial programs.


Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams through feasibility, constructability, and long-term asset performance challenges.


Strong track record of supervising field programs and translating raw site characterization metrics into actionable engineering blueprints.


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or a matching technical discipline.


Ability to execute moderate regional travel for on-site field visits and short-term assignments during key execution phases.



Technical Skills Required


Deep command over geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation design methodology.


Advanced proficiency in geohazard mapping, seismic risk mitigation, and automated site characterization analysis tools.


Familiarity with industry-standard engineering software suites (e.g., GeoStudio, gINT, Plaxis) and automated data logging systems.


Practical understanding of international building codes, occupational health safety protocols, and large-scale capital project risk management.
