Key Responsibilities
Operations Supervision: Direct and organize daily schedules, assign tasks, and manage the technical service team’s workload.
Team Management: Lead technical service representatives—hold staff meetings, track attendance, and handle annual performance reviews.
Technical Asset Curation: Research, draft, and update Technical Data Sheets, technical advisories, architectural details, and product application guides.
Architectural Advisory: Offer expert support to architects, general contractors, and distributors on building material choices and substrate prep.
Complaint Mediation: Oversee investigations and resolve customer product concerns within set financial and quality guidelines.
On-Site Coordination: Manage field requests, phone consults, and set up on-site contractor training with regional sales teams.
Audits & Compliance: Run audits at satellite sites and represent the technical department during ISO quality management reviews.
Experience & Qualifications
Industry Tenure: At least 7 years of hands-on work in building materials, industrial chemicals, or construction.
Technical Support Background: Minimum 3 years in technical customer support, engineering advisement, or field testing with building products.
Management Competency: Solid experience leading small- to mid-size teams, scheduling shifts, and setting operational KPIs.
Architectural Literacy: Comfortable reading blueprints, familiar with commercial installs and construction science.
Linguistic Versatility: Speaking a second language fluently is a big plus but not required.
Physical Requirements: Able to lift and move samples or field equipment up to 50 pounds regularly.
Technical Skills Required
Deep experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems—Oracle EnterpriseOne preferred.
Strong skills working in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, especially CRM On Demand.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Understanding of ISO quality systems, auditing, and engineering standards verification.
