Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers and Field Superintendents in the daily administration and coordination of active commercial construction jobsites.
Manage, track, and process critical project documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), material submittals, change order logs, updated shop drawings, and project close-out packages.
Assist with enforcing jobsite safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and maintaining regulatory OSHA compliance records.
Monitor daily labor productivity, track job cost expenditures against baseline budgets, and assist in compiling periodic schedule progress updates.
Review architectural plans, structural blueprints, and technical specifications to identify potential field conflicts early and coordinate constructability solutions.
Maintain clear, proactive communication across project teams, general contractors, architects, sub-tier trade partners, and client representatives.
Experience & Qualifications
1 to 3 years of hands-on project engineering or field coordination experience within commercial construction (interior/exterior wall systems experience preferred).
Demonstrated understanding of construction workflows, blueprint reading, and sub-trade coordination.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a matching technical discipline (or equivalent field experience).
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing project priorities.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills for building productive relationships with field crews, clients, and trade partners.
Technical Skills Required
Proficiency in construction management software suites such as Procore, PlanGrid, or Bluebeam Revu.
Experience with project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project).
Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for tracking logs, cost modeling, and reporting.
Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms and CAD viewing tools is a plus.
