Key Responsibilities
Daily Operational Excellence: Formulate and execute comprehensive daily operational strategies across all rooms, food & beverage, and guest service divisions to maintain Mandarin Oriental’s legendary standards of high-touch luxury.
Strategic Initiative Execution: Implement overarching corporate and property-specific commercial initiatives, driving colleague productivity, operational safety, and continuous efficiency improvements while offering constructive feedback loops to the Executive Office.
Leadership Development: Coach, mentor, and foster growth mindsets among lower and middle management executives, utilizing Balanced Scorecards and modern appraisal frameworks to anchor professional performance targets.
Community Engagement: Partner closely with the Director of Commerce and Marketing (DOCME) and the Director of Communications (DOC) to design and drive impactful regional community involvement initiatives.
Residency Collaboration: Collaborate directly with the Director of Residences to maximize the strategic partnership between Mandarin Oriental London (MOLON) and One Hyde Park (OHP), ensuring seamless colleague integration and high brand alignment.
Market Intelligence: Maintain real-time awareness of competitive luxury hospitality trends, local market shifts, and premium operational innovations to keep the property at the forefront of the industry.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven, verifiable track record operating as a Hotel Manager, Resident Manager, or Director of Operations within an ultra-luxury (five-star/diamond tier) hotel or resort ecosystem.
- Deep experience driving complex multi-departmental operations under high-pressure, fast-paced seasonal market changes.
- Exceptional relationship-building capacities, with a natural ability to connect, communicate, and align strategies with high-net-worth guests, corporate executives, and international stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to workplace diversity, inclusion, and sustainable, zero-waste business practices.

Technical Skills Required
