Key Responsibilities


Application Configuration: Configure, develop, and customize ServiceNow application architectures, custom workflows, and scripting layers across ITSM modules.


API & Core Integrations: Build, monitor, and support secure ServiceNow integrations with internal and external enterprise systems utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server clusters, and scheduled data imports.


CMDB Administration: Develop, populate, and maintain Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data models, CI class relationships, and underlying discovery automations.


Requirements Translation: Collaborate directly with technical architects, business analysts, and product owners to break down business processes into sound technical requirements.


Defect Troubleshooting: Investigate system anomalies, resolve platform bugs, and support testing cycles, update sets migration, and instance deployment activities.


Standards Enforcement: Strictly follow ServiceNow scripting best practices and development standards to ensure long-term platform maintainability, security, and rendering performance.


Technical Documentation: Author and maintain architectural design plans, system configuration logs, schema maps, and complex API integration logic documents.



Experience & Qualifications


Foundational Platform Exposure: Practical exposure or internship-level background configuring the core ServiceNow platform UI, forms, tables, and workflows.


Problem-Solving Skills: Strong logical troubleshooting traits with a clear capability to perform deep root-cause fault diagnosis inside script configurations.


Collaborative Mindset: Fluid interpersonal and verbal communication traits to work effectively alongside cross-functional developers and enterprise analysts.


Best Practice Discipline: A structured methodology toward building clean, readable code and managing update sets systematically without harming production instances.


Academic Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical platform training and developer certifications.



Technical Skills Required

ServiceNow Scripting Engine: Foundational knowledge of ServiceNow JavaScript components (including Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Actions, and Script Includes).


Integration Mechanisms: Basic hands-on familiarity or training in Web Service integrations (REST/SOAP), JSON/XML data manipulation, and MID Server configurations.


Data Modeling & Architecture: Structural understanding of relational databases, relational tables, entity-relationship mapping, and CMDB hierarchy rules.
