Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnering: Align human resource initiatives directly with production schedules, operational throughput, and engineering targets within a non-union aerospace manufacturing plant.
Full-Cycle Payroll Administration: Coordinate weekly hourly (non-exempt) payroll pipelines by processing digital timecards within Workbrain software, alongside preparing and verifying monthly executive (exempt) payroll data.
Employee Relations & Investigations: Act as the lead internal investigator for complex employee relations matters—addressing harassment, discrimination, policy discrepancies, and professional conduct violations with absolute confidentiality.
Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Guarantee strict adherence to all California and federal employment laws, maintaining thorough oversight across FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, EEO, and local wage and hour mandates.
Workforce Planning & Recruiting: Direct full-cycle recruitment pipelines for technical manufacturing personnel, specialized engineers, quality control specialists, and administrative leaders to secure a stable talent infrastructure.
Leadership Coaching & Development: Serve as a core organizational advisor to production managers, advising on performance optimization plans, conflict resolution, progressive corrective actions, and team accountability.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and direct two on-site HR professionals to ensure high-velocity HR delivery and operational support for the Fullerton plant.
Experience & Qualifications
Industrial Operations Background: Proven track record running human resource operations inside a fast-paced manufacturing or heavy industrial facility; experience within the aerospace component sector is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Employee Relations Mastery: Thorough experience conducting corporate workplace investigations, managing progressive discipline structures, and de-escalating team friction inside an industrial workforce.
Data-Driven Analysis: Competency analyzing critical HR analytics—including voluntary/involuntary turnover velocity, absenteeism patterns, and regional staffing indexes—to formulate data-driven retention solutions.
Change Management Focus: Demonstrated capability deploying local performance review models, structured onboarding programs, and workforce stability initiatives.
Technical Skills Required
- Advanced functional experience utilizing enterprise Time and Attendance systems, specifically Workbrain or equivalent labor tracking software.
- Proficiency navigating Human Capital Management (HCM) software architectures and integrated payroll processing systems.
- Skill using cloud-based Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to manage high-volume technical and hourly production candidate flows.
- Full command of standard corporate productivity software ecosystems (Microsoft Office, specialized HR data analytics reporting sheets).
