Having established a dominant market footprint, they are now introducing this dedicated, brand-new role to spearhead their organizational intelligence transformation. This is a high-impact position designed for a foundational tech leader who wants to pilot cutting-edge models, embed smart automation into core codebases, and ultimately dictate the vendor's long-term corporate AI strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic AI Leadership: Define the overarching business AI strategy and product roadmaps, taking ownership of how emerging machine learning models are piloted and integrated.
LLM Application Architecture: Design, build, and maintain robust Large Language Model (LLM) powered applications, focusing on production-grade agentic frameworks and tools integration.
RAG System Deployment: Architect and optimize custom Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to surface complex, proprietary data securely and accurately.
Product Cross-Pollination: Collaborate deeply with Product Managers and core Engineering teams to plant scalable AI features directly into the vendor's enterprise software suite.
Process Discovery & Ideation: Audit internal business units and developer workflows to spot, test, and implement practical automated tools that remove manual bottlenecks.
Engineering Standards & Guardrails: Establish internal engineering best practices for model optimization, prompt safety, evaluation frameworks, and cost-efficient API token consumption.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional background operating as a Core Software Developer or Systems Engineer.
- Direct commercial experience deploying production-ready generative AI configurations or automated models into live market applications.
- Proven track record leading software projects from early research and structural proof-of-concept through to final deployment.
- A strong product-centric mindset, displaying the communication skills needed to explain advanced model metrics and parameters to commercial stakeholders.
- Commute Requirement: Must live within a 2-hour radius of the Warrington headquarters to support weekly or bi-weekly on-site collaboration.
- Industry Advantage (Preferred): Pre-existing exposure building or enhancing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, B2B SaaS platforms, or deep financial technology infrastructure.
Technical Skills Required
Polyglot Engineering: Advanced development mastery in at least one core language: Python, TypeScript, or C#.
GenAI Infrastructure: Practical command over modern LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), foundational model APIs, and advanced prompt evaluation methodologies.
Data Topologies (Preferred): Hands-on experience structuring high-dimensional vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Chroma, or pgvector), managing ETL data pipelines, and implementing AI monitoring systems.
Security & Alignment: Understanding of security protocols for data isolation, mitigating prompt injection vulnerabilities, and enforcing regional data privacy compliances.
