Key Responsibilities
As a Sourcing Specialist supporting the Starship program, you’ll:
Analyze and develop supplier strategies: Choose global suppliers based on quality, tech capability, price, and reliable delivery.
Negotiate contracts: Handle, draft, and negotiate tough, large-scale supplier deals covering liability, pricing, intellectual property, and export compliance.
Track performance: Build supplier scorecards, monitor KPIs, and report progress to senior management.
Collaborate: Work with engineering and quality teams to drive smart designs, manage “make vs. buy” decisions, and solve material quality issues.
Procure end-to-end: Complete purchasing transactions, issue purchase orders, and manage master data in the MRP system for a steady supply chain.
Requirements & Skills
Supply Chain Expertise: Solid experience in strategic sourcing, RFI/RFP execution, and supplier relationships.
Technical & Commercial Know-How: Skilled at analyzing supplier operations, factory capacity, and equipment limits.
Legal & Compliance: Proven background handling contract terms, risk compliance, and ITAR regulations.
Leadership: Able to mentor junior buyers and planners to ensure tactical procurement goes smoothly.
