Legal Prerequisite: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Compensation: Premium market-based salary scale paired with a comprehensive venture equity package.

Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

As a Software Integration Engineer, you will bridge the gap between vehicle-level autonomy platforms and external tactical networks. This role is a hybrid of program-based integration engineering alongside core open-source software development.

High-Level Interoperability and C2 System Integration

Systems Integration: Design, code, and deploy secure integrations connecting Command and Control (C2-to-C2) systems, complex communications stacks, and mission-critical defense software.

Abstract Modeling: Model high-level object abstractions and data architectures that enable flawless, low-latency interoperability across diverse hardware and software boundaries.

Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate closely with internal product, edge-platform, and core autonomy engineering squads to deliver integration pipelines aligned with maritime mission needs.

Open-Source SDK Engineering and Community Governance

SDK Architecture: Build, scale, and maintain HavocAI's public, open-source Software Development Kits (SDKs), ensuring they are reliable, secure, and clean.

Community Engagement: Actively support, nurture, and engage with the external developer community utilizing HavocAI SDKs, fostering open-source adoption and code contributions.

Technical Standards: Formulate internal architecture standards, documentation blueprints, and best practices for community-facing code releases.

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for an ambitious, self-starting developer who thrives under high ownership, values attention to detail, and excels at turning complex operational needs into dependable software.

Required Technical Skills and Experience

Programming Fluency: Strong, production-proven programming experience writing clean code in both Go (Golang) and Python.

Integration Expertise: Demonstrated background designing and implementing enterprise-grade system integrations (including APIs, SDK modules, and communication wrappers).

Modern DevOps Stack: Solid working familiarity with version control systems (Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and containerized architectures (Docker, Kubernetes).

Professional Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to coordinate technical initiatives across multi-disciplinary, non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Background working with defense mission systems, tactical C2 platforms, or distributed communication networks.

Practical experience contributing to, maintaining, or scaling public open-source software projects.

Familiarity with data serialization formats (Protobuf, JSON, CBOR) and modern messaging protocols (gRPC, MQTT, DDS).

Prior domain knowledge in maritime autonomy, uncrewed systems, robotics, or complex aerospace environments.

How to Apply? (Professional Advice)

Eligible software engineers located within the United States who possess U.S. citizenship are encouraged to submit their credentials through HavocAI's official remote employment portal.

Professional Advice:

When optimizing your resume for HavocAI's review panel, structure your work history around systems integration and structural scalability. Do not just list your coding languages; explicitly outline how you handled interoperability.

For instance, describe how you "engineered an API or SDK layer using Go/Python that facilitated real-time data exchange between two disparate corporate systems."

Given that this role involves maintaining open-source tools and interacting with external developers, including a link to your public GitHub profile or highlighting any history with data serialization formats (like Protobuf or gRPC) will immediately make your application stand out.
