Job Summary and Responsibilities


SECP has announced openings in four categories. The main purpose of these roles is to improve oversight of the corporate sector and the legal framework.



Key Categories and Responsibilities


Deputy Director (Category A & B)


Reviewing financial monitoring and audit reports of corporate sectors.


Ensuring adherence to legal frameworks and compliance (for Category B).


Providing consultation on legal and regulatory matters.


Assistant Director (Category C & D)


Analyzing data related to accounting and finance (Category C).


Improving regulatory technology through IT, Data Science, and AI (Category D).


Helping senior management with daily supervision and reporting tasks.


General Responsibilities


Making sure policies are enforced to uphold market integrity.


Playing a role in the organization’s success through a multi-stage evaluation process.



Qualifications and Skills


Each category has its own educational and experience requirements to attract experts in the relevant fields.


Category A (Deputy Director): CA / ACCA / ACMA with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience.


Category B (Deputy Director): LL.B or LL.M from a HEC-recognized university, plus 6 years of relevant experience.


Category C (Assistant Director): MBA / BBA (Hons) in Accounting or Finance, or CA / ACCA / ACMA, with 3 years of experience.


Category D (Assistant Director): Master’s or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning with 3 years of experience. Data Analysis certifications are an added advantage.
