They’re looking for an experienced Import & Export Logistics Manager for their regional operations in Singapore.
GenScript serves more than 300,000 customers in over 160 countries with advanced gene synthesis, life science CRO, and cell therapy facilities.
In this key position, you’ll report to the Supply Chain Director (APAC) and be responsible for managing international trade compliance, customs documentation, cost tracking, and logistics process improvements.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
As Logistics Manager, you’ll digitalize supply chain workflows and monitor team performance with these duties:
Trade Compliance and Customs Documentation
Regulatory Monitoring: Closely track international trade regulations, customs laws, and import/export compliance requirements. Advise internal teams on the operational impacts.
Permit Management: Submit import/export permits using government systems like TradeNet and CrimsonLogic, and handle strategic goods permits for dual-use or controlled products.
Documentation Accuracy: Double-check tariff classifications and make sure customs declarations and shipping documents are maintained perfectly.
Inbound & Outbound Shipment Operations
End-to-End Coordination: Directly supervise inbound and outbound cargo movements, and work with warehouse teams to manage safe handling and storage of goods.
Vendor Relations: Build strong working relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport providers, and evaluate their service quality.
Cross-Border Support: Support process alignment and compliance audits with logistics centers in Japan, Korea, and Australia (travel onsite if needed).
Budgeting, Cost Control, and KPI Management
Financial Oversight: Oversee annual logistics budgeting, keep track of freight expenses, and identify ways to optimize costs.
Process Automation: Lead system enhancements, digitalization, and automation projects to improve operational efficiency.
Team Leadership: Coach, train, and mentor logistics team members, and work on further developing their skills.
