Job Location: United States (Distributed team working across 4 time zones).


Organization: Stitch Fix.


Salary Range: $130,900 to $218,000 USD (based on experience and location).


Employment Type: Full-Time.


Additional Benefits: Annual bonus, equity (stock units), medical, dental, and vision benefits.


Job Summary and Responsibilities


As an Engineering Manager, you’ll drive changes and innovation within Stitch Fix’s fulfillment systems like Order Management (OMS), Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management (WMS). 


Your role isn’t just technical oversight, you’ll also work with cross-functional teams to create a real business impact.



Key Responsibilities:


Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire your team of engineers to deliver top-notch results.


Strategic Planning: Set deliverables and priorities for projects that align with business goals.


Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with product managers, operations, and algorithms teams to improve fulfillment processes.


System Reliability: Ensure the scalability and performance of systems so day-to-day work runs smoothly.


Modernization: Update old workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.


Talent Development: Hire and develop a diverse, inclusive team and focus on their professional growth.



Qualifications and Requirements


We’re looking for candidates with strong experience in fulfillment technology and leadership.


Experience: Work experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Order Management Systems (OMS).


Years of Experience: 3+ years building real-time solutions, including 1-2 years managing engineering teams.


Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Golang, Java, or similar programming languages.


Leadership Style: Leading distributed teams (across different time zones) is a big plus.


Communication: Clear, honest communication and strong team-building skills.

Languages & Frameworks: Go-Lang, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails.


Messaging & Data: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Postgres.
