Job Summary and Responsibilities


As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between infrastructure automation and AWS management. Reusability and best practices are your main focus.



Key Responsibilities


Terraform Module Development: Design and maintain Terraform modules and configurations for scalable infrastructure.


AWS Landing Zones: Use Terraform to establish standardized and secure multi-account environments (Landing Zones).


Infrastructure Optimization: Improve cloud performance through advanced automation and make sure costs stay efficient.


Security Controls: Implement infrastructure security controls and meet compliance requirements through Terraform code.


State Management: Manage remote state backends, state locking, and disaster recovery procedures.


CI/CD Integration: Set up pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline) for infrastructure deployments.


Mentorship & Leadership: Guide the team on Terraform best practices and infrastructure design patterns, and review code.


Troubleshooting: Solve complex Terraform deployments and AWS infrastructure issues to keep problems from cropping up again.


Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with application and security teams to turn business requirements into robust technical solutions.


Documentation: Prepare coding standards and reusable documentation for infrastructure components.



Qualifications and Skills


We’re searching for professionals with years of experience in cloud automation and scripting.


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant work experience.


Terraform Expertise: At least 8+ years hands-on with Terraform (modules, workspaces, and providers).


AWS Deep Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, and AWS Organizations.


Scripting Skills: Skilled in Python and Bash for automation.


Landing Zone Experience: Solid experience implementing multi-account strategies and AWS Landing Zones.


Security & Compliance: Complete understanding of AWS security services and infrastructure security frameworks.


Problem Solving: Great at debugging complex infrastructure issues and optimizing code.


Communication: Able to explain technical concepts to stakeholders clearly.
