GEICO, one of the biggest and most iconic brands in the insurance sector, is looking for energetic and motivated people in the Charleston, SC area to join its Auto Damage Trainee program.
When customers get into an accident or face a disaster, that's the time they need the most help. In this role, you’ll help customers get back on the road and handle their claims.

๐ Key Responsibilities
As an Auto Damage Trainee, you’ll start with paid training and handle the following field operations daily:
Vehicle Damage Assessment and Estimation
Damage Inspection: After any kind of accident, inspect vehicles and accurately assess the damage.
Cost Estimation: Prepare estimates for car repair costs and calculate claim values.
Equitable Settlements: Work with customers and body shops to negotiate fair settlements based on repair costs and damage reports.
Territory Operations and Stakeholder Collaboration
Field Mobility: Within your assigned territory, visit body shops, salvage yards, tow yards, and sometimes even customers’ homes for face-to-face help.
Vendor Partnership: Work with auto body shops, rental car partners, and parts providers to keep the process smooth.
Independent Workflow: Manage your own schedule and client appointments effectively, and follow up with your team on time.
๐ฏ What They Are Looking For (Requirements)
You don’t need prior auto engineering experience for this entry-level position, but you must have a willingness to learn and multitasking skills.
Key Skills and Certifications
Customer Service Passion: Strong interpersonal skills and a problem-solving approach to help customers during tough times.
Multitasking Ability: Ability to independently handle multiple appointments and claims in a fast-paced setting.
Sign-on Bonus Eligibility: Candidates with an active and good-standing Adjuster’s License receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus.
