Job Summary

As Assistant Director, you’ll work closely with different Services Departments to develop SAF’s data architecture and standards strategy. 

You’ll be responsible for enforcing data policies, driving governance initiatives, and boosting data literacy and accessibility across teams. 

You’ll lead the development and governance of Service Operations Data Strategy to keep data quality and compliance at the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Cataloguing: Design processes for gathering data from various sources, and clarify priorities and metadata requirements through data stocktakes and cataloguing.

Governance & Compliance: Oversee data policy and service-level agreements to ensure compliance is always maintained.

Data Quality & Integrity: Check data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and uphold quality through cleaning processes.

Security & Protection: Protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and breaches.

Data Access Support: Support data-related projects and handle data requests by liaising with different departments.

Training & Literacy: Work with relevant units to boost staff competency and capability in data management.

Strategic Leadership: Coordinate departmental workplans and establish cross-service data quality standards.

Experience & Qualifications

Citizenship: Open to Singaporean Citizens only.

Experience: Minimum of 6 years relevant field experience.

Education: Qualification in data science, computer science, or related field.

Framework Expertise: Strong experience with data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.

Project Management: Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple stakeholders.
