Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Application Architect, your main goal is to analyze legacy IT systems and applications and transfer them to a modern AWS cloud infrastructure. You’ll understand IT requirements and turn them into scalable, modern solutions.
Modernized Solutions and Cloud Architecture Design
System Modernization: Dive into IT requirements and use modernization frameworks to restructure and refactor the code of older systems (legacy assets).
AWS Cloud Development: Develop and test applications within AWS cloud environments. This includes making smart use of AWS ECS, AWS Lambda functions, Elastic Cache, and S3 objects to ensure cloud services run seamlessly.
Business Logic Extraction: Extract business logic from old software systems and convert it into modern, executable business rules, making the company’s digital assets reusable.
Team Collaboration and Integration Optimization
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Delivery and Engagement teams to make sure system architectures are implemented safely and effectively.
System Integration: Integrate old and new software components and improve service exposure mechanisms for Systems of Engagement so data flow stays uninterrupted.
Qualifications and Requirements

Required Technical Skills & Experience
Cloud Architecture Expertise: Deep experience designing and scaling enterprise applications on AWS infrastructure.
Core AWS Services: Complete practical command over AWS ECS, Lambda serverless functions, Elastic Cache, and S3 cloud storage buckets.
Legacy Refactoring: Practical experience analyzing old software code, restructuring it, and using application refactoring frameworks.
Education: Graduation degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology is required.

Advanced Degree: Having a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields is a plus.
