Job Summary
As the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for leading YouTrip’s high-performing scrum teams. This job isn’t just about management, you’ll be the one setting the technical direction and building scalable applications for millions of users.
You’ll oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle for both backend services and frontend applications. This role is for folks who thrive in agile environments and understand distributed systems inside and out.
Key Responsibilities
Team Mentorship: Guide your team of software engineers, set their career goals, and do regular performance reviews.
Project Execution: Make sure software projects get delivered on time, without ever compromising on quality.
Hands-on Contribution: Contribute directly to the codebase, review code, and provide technical guidance whenever it’s needed.
Technical Direction: Push for scalability and innovation by adopting new technologies and industry best practices.
Engineering Excellence: Enforce coding standards and use test automation to make development smoother and more reliable.
Stakeholder Engagement: Share progress updates and technical insights with stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Management Experience: At least 2 years of team management experience, mentoring diverse engineering teams.
Technical Expertise: Deep experience designing high-performance, concurrent applications. Experience with Golang is a big plus.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to manage squad-level priorities and project outcomes.
Frameworks: Understand product and business metrics and have experience setting objectives with the OKR framework.
Complex Systems: Background working with distributed systems and parallel processing.
