Key Responsibilities
Financial Process Governance: Design, implement, and govern robust project finance processes across the entire active Willis Re corporate project portfolio.
Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a critical, high-visibility financial business partner to the corporate Chief of Staff and the Group Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Technical Asset Accounting: Direct all technical accounting treatments regarding project cost capitalization policies and intangible software development assets.
Tax Relief Optimization: Identify, isolate, and capture complex data structures to support UK Research & Development (R&D) tax credit claims in absolute compliance with HMRC guidelines.
ERP System Architecture: Oversee the structural design, module mapping, and enterprise implementation of the Workday Financials project ledger system in tandem with integration partners.
Financial Controls Delivery: Provide project managers with standardized software tools and automated workflows for precise budgeting, rolling forecasting, cost control, and variance reporting.
Experience & Qualifications
Corporate Accounting Pedigree: Proven professional history functioning as a Project Accountant, Financial Analyst, or Management Accountant within a complex corporate setting.
Technical Tax Compliance: Demonstrated experience auditing capital expenditure lines and successfully preparing documentation for UK R&D tax credit claims under HMRC structures.
ERP Implementation Lifecycle: Practical background or strong foundational exposure participating in enterprise resource planning deployments, specifically managing financial or project tracking modules.
Strategic Consulting Framework: Strong experience acting as a business partner to senior tech executives, operational chiefs, and cross-functional project management offices (PMO).
Technical Skills Required
Deep proficiency in Workday Financials, specifically specializing in Project/Asset accounting modules.
Comprehensive understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and HMRC regulatory guidelines surrounding software capitalization and R&D relief.
Advanced accounting modeling capabilities in spreadsheet systems for real-time cost control, variance tracking, and capital allocation forecasts.
Experience utilizing data visualization, financial reporting databases, and modern corporate ledgers.
