Key Responsibilities

Backend Engineering: Develop and maintain core backend applications, scalable services, and high-performance APIs using C# and modern .NET infrastructure.


System Optimization: Work directly on live production systems to continuously improve system reliability, operational performance, and data processing speed.


Architecture Evolution: Contribute actively to high-level system design and technical decision-making to evolve legacy setups into modern, cloud-native architectures.


Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders inside an structured Agile team ecosystem.


Experience & Qualifications


  • Demonstrated experience working as a senior engineer on complex, live production systems and distributed business architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, technical attention to detail, and a history of driving architectural improvements.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively within established Agile/Scrum software engineering team dynamics.
  • Ability to commute to the Newcastle office for hybrid operations (typically 2 days onsite per week).



Technical Skills Required


Core Languages & Frameworks: Advanced C#, .NET Core, and .NET 6+.


Databases & APIs: RESTful API design, backend web services, and robust SQL querying.


Cloud Platforms: Practical working exposure to Microsoft Azure environment tools.


Preferred/Desirable: Understanding of microservices, distributed systems architectures, and automated CI/CD DevOps workflows.
