Key Responsibilities
Technical Engineering Leadership: Lead, guide, and manage agile engineering teams in the Software Engineering Centre of Excellence (CoE) to architect, build, and launch enterprise-level data processing systems.
Architecture Alignment & Design: Lead complex data platform solution design and technical decision-making for infrastructure. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to shape high-throughput engineering roadmaps.
Standards Enforcement & Code Governance: Set up and monitor coding standards, quality assurance processes, automated testing, and data security infrastructure across multi-tenant development teams.
DevOps & Cloud Orchestration: Automate distributed systems by deploying strong CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates, and native cloud solutions.
Risk Management & Stability Ops: Identify and address system design risks, handle operational dependencies, and remove barriers to timely delivery. Offer in-depth technical support for root-cause analysis, production stability, and cluster debugging.
Mentorship & CoE Optimization: Mentor and support junior data engineers and software developers. Contribute to reusable asset libraries, open-source tools, and the company’s core engineering platforms.
Experience & Qualifications
At least 8–10 years of professional experience in engineering enterprise applications, building complex data infrastructure, or managing end-to-end software development pipelines (SDLC).
A minimum of 3–5 years in technical delivery leadership with a history of leading multi-disciplinary agile engineering teams.
A strong hands-on background in architecting distributed systems, setting up enterprise microservices, and managing large-scale system integration.
Excellent communication and presentation skills required to work with corporate stakeholders, provide sprint timelines, and keep up project governance documentation.
A Bachelor's degree (BS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
Technical Skills Required
Core Engineering Practices: Strong experience in enterprise data architectures, microservices, RESTful API design, and scalable processing models.
DevOps & Platform Tools: Proven skills with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), automated CI/CD orchestration, Docker/Kubernetes clusters, and data pipeline operations.
Methodology: In-depth knowledge of full-stack data modeling, performance tuning, regression testing, and agile/scrum methods.
