Key Responsibilities
Advanced Technical Escalation: Serve as the definitive senior field authority and escalation anchor for intricate electro-mechanical system faults across premium Otis technologies, including Gen2, SkyRise, and CompassPlus systems.
Diagnostics & Field Support: Deliver advanced root-cause analysis, mechanical fault diagnosis, and technical troubleshooting support to field technicians through both real-time remote diagnostics channels and direct on-site field support.
Commissioning & Modernization: Oversee compliance and engineering validation during the testing, commissioning, and execution phases of new equipment installations and large-scale modernization projects.
Predictive Maintenance Monitoring: Leverage proprietary digital monitoring ecosystems (e.g., REM, eService platforms) to analyze streaming telemetry, manage remote diagnostic feeds, and implement predictive maintenance schedules.
Capacity Building & Training: Author technical service profiles and run training workshops for field operations crews concerning system architectures, specialized software instrumentation, and safety protocols.
Regulatory Governance: Ensure all service activities, field modifications, and structural components adhere precisely to strict local building regulations, Otis corporate safety directives, and international engineering codes (e.g., EN 81, ASME A17.1).
Experience & Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of technical field engineering or technical support experience specializing in high-end elevator systems, intelligent vertical transit networks, or complex automated industrial machinery.
- Proven technical mastery troubleshooting sophisticated electrical control circuits, variable-voltage variable-frequency (VVVF) drives, microcontrollers, and hydraulic assemblies.
- Deep practical knowledge of international safety protocols, risk assessment methodologies, and diagnostic engineering practices within high-altitude fields.
- Strong collaborative mindset with a track record of bridging communication between on-site mechanical technicians, corporate product managers, and global engineering assets.
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related industrial discipline.
Technical Skills Required
Proprietary Infrastructure: Operational proficiency with Otis software tools, monitoring assets, and service networks (e.g., eService, Remote Elevator Monitoring / REM systems).
Standards Compliance: Structural familiarity with regional and global building codes, including EN 81 engineering guidelines, local Singapore standards (SS 550), and ASME structures.
Automation & Electronics: Expert command over digital multimeters, bus analyzers, system log analysis, and electrical blueprint schematic translation.
