Key Responsibilities  


Data Strategy & Governance Ownership: Take ownership of Perci’s data strategy, roadmap, and governance framework, treating high-integrity information as a key part of both the organization and clinical care.


Team Scaling & Leadership: Build, guide, and grow a high-performing data team—including data engineers, business intelligence analysts, and data scientists—to keep pace with upcoming corporate venture capital fundraising milestones.


Infrastructure & Pipeline Engineering: Set up, monitor, and scale reliable data warehouse systems and secure pipelines that safely support real-time clinical workflows and backend commercial reporting.


Cross-Functional Insights & AI Exploration: Work closely with clinical, product, and commercial teams to turn complex clinical metrics into practical insights. Spot and assess ways to introduce machine learning and AI tools to strengthen clinical operations.


Regulatory Compliance Management: Lead the way on data privacy and information security, making sure everything on the platform follows UK GDPR, NHS Data Security Standards, and medical dataset rules.


Investor & Board Reporting: Collaborate with the CTO and Executive team to define company KPIs, build analytics dashboards for the board, and manage data rooms during investor due diligence.



Experience & Qualifications  


Significant experience in a senior data leadership role (Head of Data, VP of Data, or similar) in a fast-paced, data-driven startup, preferably in healthtech, digital health, or another highly regulated field.


A record of building and scaling data engineering and analytics teams from early on, including hiring talent, mentoring engineers, and keeping pipelines strong.


A strategic thinker with strong business instincts, able to tie data platform strengths directly to business growth, patient outcomes, and fundraising storytelling.


Solid understanding of data governance, information security, and compliance requirements in a clinical or highly regulated setting.


Comfortable working independently in a fast-growing startup, balancing high-level strategy with hands-on technical work.



Technical Skills Required  


Core Tech Stack: Strong foundation in data engineering, warehousing, and modern analytics tools—working with dbt, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Looker, or similar platforms.


Product & Growth Analytics: Experience with advanced product tracking and event analytics tools such as Amplitude or Mixpanel.


Healthcare Standards (Preferred): Knowledge of healthtech data standards like HL7, FHIR, or NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit requirements.


Advanced Methodologies (Preferred): Background in applying Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, or GenAI in product settings, either conceptually or practically.
