Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management: Lead the installation, configuration, physical relocation, and decommission of hardware assets and bare-metal server equipment within the facility.
Project & Technical Leadership: Take ownership of complex customer deployment initiatives, manage project timelines, and deliver structured on-the-job training for junior operations engineers.
Process Optimization: Analyze regional operations performance metrics to advise the local site manager on workflow enhancements, cost efficiencies, and procedural upgrades.
Hardware Lifecycle Support: Diagnose and execute component updates (RAM, CPU, NVMe drives, server modules), perform structural system testing, and manage vendor administrative protocols.
APAC Cross-Regional Collaboration: Work dynamically with remote-hands provider networks across the APAC territory to troubleshoot facilities, resolve network issues, and confirm hardware compliance.
Experience & Qualifications
- Multiple years of hands-on technical experience operating within a high-density, live enterprise data center infrastructure environment.
- Degree, diploma, or professional certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technology-focused field.
- Proven background navigating client-facing support settings, tracking assets through ticketing frameworks, and executing complex data center migration checklists.
- Multi-lingual capability in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Japanese is a plus to interface with cross-regional engineering hubs across APAC.
Technical Skills Required
Core OS & Computing: Advanced administration of Linux operating system variants and server architecture architectures.
Hardware Architecture: Deep expertise handling enterprise servers, network switches, SAN storage array assemblies, KVM nodes, and components.
Networking Infrastructure: Solid foundational network configuration understanding (handling subnets, custom IP allocation, Netmask adjustments, gateway routing, and DNS records).
Operations Tools: Basic operational familiarity running administrative tasks or inventory workflows inside SAP environments is a distinct advantage.
